Today was a great day at Telluride with sunny skies and the opening of Black Iron Bowl for the first time this season. There was a pretty good crew of people hiking, making laps and enjoying the newly opened terrain. I took two runs down Dihedral Chute and the snow was awesome! There were still a few rocks to be found, but the snow was obviously the best on the mountain. Unfortunately, my GoPro battery went dead 8 seconds into my first run so I couldn’t fully document the day. Real bummer but I still had some great runs and hopefully will be back up there in the morning to try again. Tough job I know, but somebody’s got to do it!
