Artsy Gondola
Artsy Gondola

Today was a great day at Stowe.  The weather was beautiful – mid 20’s and very little wind.  The conditions were great too.  It seems like Stowe’s snow making crew has been hard at work over the past week.  One thing that I love about man-made snow is when the snow guns make (un)natural rollers all over the mountain.  It’s so fun finding gaps to jump over and taking different lines every time!  Conditions were great over at the Gondola.  Some spots were a bit skied off, but all in all it was real good.  To my surprise, the mountain seemed empty today.  Maybe people are waiting and gearing up for the Holiday season that is right around the corner.  Few people = Lots of runs = Leg burn!

We really could use another big dump to help fill in many of the areas around the mountain.  I can’t wait until we can get in the trees and really start hunting down good lines and snow.  We might have a chance of getting some decent accumulation over the next few days.  Keep those fingers crossed and pray to the Snow Gods!
