Local ripper Chopo Diaz is sitting in 1st
Day 1 went off today with tons of action and great skiing. Visibility was questionable at first but cleared out midmorning just in time. The wind picked up in huge gusts for the first 10 guys or so but seemed to play a minor factor. To most peoples surprise the snow was great, wintery and smooth. At the end of the day there were a few gnarley crashes but for the most part the entire field was extremely tight. Kick Ass Blasters had a solid day all going big on the last air, some smoother than others.
