Yup, it’s that time of year again. Okay, it has been that time of year again for a while in Jackson now. To add to the variety of trails available to mountain bikers, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is opening their bike park this weekend. The six trails- from beginner to expert- offer a nice variety for those out in the village. Lift service, which takes all of about a minute, will guarantee riders can shred brown pow until their forearms seize up. Then, just like in winter, you can aprés at the V.C. and spray about how rad you just got. Good times!
The guys and gals over at Ungrounded just put together this edit of various summer activities around Jackson and what appears to be Mantana. The artfully edited piece begins with some spring sessions in the Tetons, and then moves through the summer months. Climbing begins around 2:47 and fills out there rest of the edit…with some various wildlife (and not so wildlife) filtered in there for variety. Plus there’s a rewind of fireworks that is pretty neat as well. Although this edit may have gotten me more stoked for summer, we here at Unofficial are still glad it’s nearly winter.
With summer unofficially over, the party scene has calmed down a little bit. Which is good, considering the bender that will be next weekend’s TGR premier. This weekend, is a … Read More

The guys over at Point of Release were kind enough to send us this short video of floating Flat Creek. Thanks to the all time snowpack and the cool, wet spring, creeks and rivers are still running pretty high. Like any good tube, flat creek is mostly casual with some moments that can get pretty intense if you’re not paying attention. There’s a couple down trees along the way, so keep an eye out for those as well. Traditionally the put-in is around Dairy Queen and the takeout is around Smith’s. Tube’s can be purchased at the Sinclair station (400S Highway 89) or can be rented from Jackson Hole Whitewater. So get out there- you too can have a story that starts, “We decided to casually float Flat Creek and…”
With summer in full swing, there’s more to do in Jackson than you can shake a stick at. Beyond the normal activities- biking, climbing, fishing, camping, skiing, etc- the highlight … Read More
