Provo Canyon, Utah – Sundance Mountain Resort has been going through many changes lately.

Since Robert Redford sold Sundance to Broadreach Capital Partners and Cedar Capital Partners in 2020, the new owners have invested heavily in the resort. They have added several new chairlifts, built a new terrain pod, opened a spa, and expanded the snowmaking network, among other projects. They’ve also placed most of the acres of land they own under a conservation easement. However, they’re far from done investing in the resort.

Yesterday, Sundance shared a photo of one of the projects coming for the 2024-25 season. The Mountain Camp Day Lodge will give guests in Jake’s base area a place to hang out. The 8,000-square-foot facility will be at the Mountain Camp Cafe, giving them a spot for their food truck. There will also be spaces for ski school, rentals, lift tickets, lockers, and retail. It will open in the winter of 2025, and more details will be announced soon.

The other major project this offseason was repaving a couple of their parking lots. Lot E has 100 new paved spots, and Lots A and B have been repaved.

Work will continue on various projects in the coming years. In 2025, the Inn at Sundance, the Mountain Veteran’s Program, and the Village Homes will open.

In 2026, they will be undergoing a terrain expansion. A new detachable high-speed quad will service the new Electric Horseman terrain pod. Its bottom terminal will be the base of Wildwood, with its top terminal near the conclusion of Red’s Lift. They’re keeping the details about the new terrain under wraps for now.
