Chase Field, Arizona- It’s been a rough stretch for Arizona sports teams. They lost their NHL team to a superior city, the Sun’s superteam just got swept, and the Cardinals still exist. The Arizona Diamondbacks, fresh off a World Series appearance, are struggling to start their season. To make matters worse (or better?), their most recent game was delayed due to bees.

The bees hung around the netting in the foul territory behind home plate, making the game unplayable until they were moved.

This made the Seattle Mariners copy and paste nearly the whole script of the Bee Movie on Twitter (I’m still not calling it by its new name). Ya like Jazz?

Thanks to the work of Matt Hilton, a professional beekeeper, the game started at 8:35, 1 hour and 55 minutes past the anticipated first pitch time.

The Diamondbacks went on to win the game 4-3 in extra innings. To conclude this article with one more terrible bee pun… You could say the fans at Chase Field felt the buzz last night.
