If you do the math, that is over $100,000 per hour spent on Killington’s gondola. Not a bad pay day issued by a Rutland jury for Pittsfield real estate attorney, Nadine Price. Nadine’s suit dates back to October 2011 when she hiked up to Killington Peak and took the K-1 gondola to download in the late afternoon according to wcax.com.
Weather kicked up while she was on the way down and the resort shut down the gondola. Gondola operators failed to notice she was onboard. She was eventually reported missing and the pieces were put together that she never exited the gondola. She was stranded alone for over 6 hours.
Price’s suit claims she suffered from mild hypothermia and severe PTSD after being trapped. She was originally asking for $500,000 in the suit but a Vermont jury bumped it up to $750,000 for her pain and suffering and future medical expenses.
