It’s been quite a long time since the alps had a November this good and our friends across the pond are not complaining– especially considering there’s another storm on the horizon.

According to snow-forecast.com, the second storm will impact the central and southern alps while many of the northern alps are stuck with high temps and the Föhn for the next week. However, the southern alps, particularly in Switzerland and Italy could see up to a meter of snow over the coming week.

Not only that but the higher elevations of Zermatt/Cervinia could receive upwards of 36″ by the end of this storm

Currently, the forecast for Zermatt is a little liberal so combining our own research with Snow-Forecast‘s, we’re saying that Zermatt should see around 1 meter (3 FEET) of snow by Thursday of next week.
