4 Squaw “Boys” and 6 Tahoe “Boys” made it through Day 1 to…drum roll please!…Day 2!
Ingrid Backstorm, Kevin O’meara, Connery Lundin, & Maty Jackson from Squaw ended up 5th, 10th, 14th, & 15th, respectively. Two other Tahoe boys, Josh Diaek & KC Deane also made it thru at places 6th & 19th, respectively. That’s 5 Tahoe Boys out of the 20 guys that made it thru. For those of you who prefer percentages, that’s 25% of the field. Not bad Tahoe.
And they did so in some pretty hideous conditions. The snow is cooked, wind blasted, farted upon, and somewhat unpredictable in Leñas.
