kids skiing squaw

In this video:  Adrenaline Chute, lots of The Fingers, Hollywood Rock.

Here is a quick edit from Squaw Valley mini shredder Parker Russell.  Parker and his brother Nick are Squaw ski freaks from The Bay that do nothing but eat, sleep, drink, think and especially talk skiing.  These guys know way more about Squaw than I do.  Just today, Parker is telling me about the “Blizzard Line” on Light Towers and I had no idea what he was talking about.  I had to get Squawllywood out tonite to figure it out.  These guys are chalking off lines at Squaw the I didn’t get to until my mid-twenties…and they are 11 and 9 years old!

Watching this video brings up an crucial Squaw situation.  Have you guys also noticed how good the young kids on the mountain are getting?  I think this year was truly a showcase for the young guys.  The deep, soft snow really gave them the confidence to charge technical lines usually reserved for over educated twenty-somethings with no health insurance.  I saw some insane things go down at Squaw this season that were all performed by the 15 and younger crowd.

The video below is a classic appropriately named “International Man of Pole Whacking Mystery”.  This video brings up the poignant question:  “How long can you whack your pole for?”
