Utah — For its 2027 schedule, the Freeride World Tour is giving skiers and riders the bird.
In yesterday’s calendar reveal, the Freeride World Tour announced that Snowbird will host Finals 1 of the Freeride World Tour. It’s the first event at the top stage of the Freeride World Tour at Snowbird since 2014.
The event will take place on Mt. Baldy, which has an average pitch of 49 percent. The highlight will be the 50-meter Amphitheater Zone, which is full of narrow chutes and huckable cliffs.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the Freeride World Tour back to Snowbird,” said Dave Fields, Snowbird President and General Manager. “Snowbird has a deep history of supporting freeride competition and developing athletes. Our steep, technical terrain provides the perfect stage for the world’s best. We’re excited to see how these athletes will push themselves and the sport, and to share that experience with our guests and the broader freeride community.”
The schedule for the winter ahead is as follows:
- The Bacqueria Beret Pro by Occident on January 16-17. Weather window: Jan. 16-21
- The Val Thorens Pro on Jan 25-26. Weather window: Jan. 25-30
- The Georgia Pro on February 20-21. Weather window: Feb. 20-26.
- The Fieberbrunn Pro from March 3-9.
The top 60% of riders advance to the finals, based on their best three results.

- Finals 2: YETI Extreme Verbier by Honda on March 27-28. Weather window: March 27-April 4.
