Utah — A Utah ski resort was closed for summer operations yesterday for an unusual reason.
Yesterday, Solitude Mountain Resort announced that patrol there had found unexploded ordnance on the property. In response, they called authorities and began trying to defuse the object. This temporarily led to a closure of operations at parts of the resort.
The situation resolved itself when officials detected and disarmed the device. Interestingly, officials believed the ordnance was “military in nature.” Normal operations resumed later that day.
