Bobby-Car speed world record
Bobby-Car speed world record

Wild footage out of northeast Germany where a new world record was set on May 2nd, 2026 at the DEKRA test oval at Lausitzring Super Speed Way.

The plan was simply to test out the new steering setup on this tiny E-Bobby-Car but they ended up breaking the speed record for fastest ride-on toy car as this miniature Porsche rocketed down the track reaching a maximum velocity of 96.9 mph.

When it comes to niche motorsports, the world of ride-on toy car racing is about as delightfully absurd as it gets. Originally a tiny, leg-powered plastic toddler car made by the German toy company BIG, the Bobby-Cars now have a cult following of garage engineers who propel them with specialized electric drivetrains and equip them with rubber tires. Racers assume the supine position and let it rip reaching highway speeds mere inches off the ground. Zero suspension, riders wearing full leathers and max speeds nearing 100mph. This sport is absolutely wild.
