News flash from south Lake Tahoe, California where Heavenly Ski Resort just announced they are reopening for a bonus weekend after a late season storm blew through the area:
“Just when we thought it was over, that storm came through last weekend and we started brainstorming what was possible. This Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, we’ll reopen for a couple more party laps from 10AM to 5PM on Upper California Trail and Tamarack Return as a thank you for an incredible 70th anniversary season. All mountain access will be from the Gondola.
You can park at California Lodge and we’ll shuttle you to the Gondola for free. If you’re looking for a little more mountain to explore, our friends at Kirkwood are in great shape. We’ve got a free shuttle to take you there as well. We hope to see you this weekend, let’s send off the season in style.” -Heavenly
So happy that Heavenly was able to squeeze out a bit more skiing after that storm. Cheers!
