Corbet's Couloir wipeout.
Corbet's Couloir wipeout.

Corbet’s Couloir might not be the most difficult run at Wyoming’s Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, but it’s certainly the most iconic. With easy access from the top of the tram and plenty of room to watch, Corbet’s attracts a lot of people who wish to test their talents on the slopes, some much more talented than others.

There have been a ton of incredible wipeouts captured on camera, but this one might be the most iconic. Maybe it’s the build up, maybe it’s the way he flops around and loses control once he actually gets in, or maybe it’s the fact that the guy behind the camera does a great job keeping the skier on screen throughout the crash. Whatever the case, I truly believe this is the best Corbet’s crash.

The Kings and Queens of Corbet’s Couloir, one of the most incredible ski/snowboard freeride competitions of the year, is set to go down at some point between February 7th-14th, so make sure to keep an eye on the Jackson Hole website for the official tournament day once it’s announced.
