Alberta โ While many ski resorts in North America are having below-average winters, that isn’t the case at Lake Louise Ski Resort.
As of December 31st, the ski resort has received 503 centimeters (198 inches) of snowfall on the upper mountain. This is an all-time early-season record.
In terms of terrain, Lake Louise has 161 trails and 13 lifts open. This means that 96% of their terrain is now open. This week saw the opening of Boulevard Park, which has 24 medium to large features. Other terrain parks that are open right now include Grizzly Cubs Park, Elbow Progression Park, and Triple Bridge Park.
โThis is a season weโll be talking about for years,โ said Emmett McPartlin, Director of Sales & Marketing at the resort. โThe volume, quality, and consistency of snowfall weโve seen so early is extraordinary โ weโre calling it โDeep December.โโ
Richardson’s Ridge
What makes this season even better for Lake Louise is that they actually opened a terrain expansion earlier this month. Richardson’s Ridge offers access to around 200 acres of skiable terrain, comprising five trails and some tranquil glades.ย It’s serviced by a new detachable high-speed quad chairlift.
Unsurprisingly, more snow is expected in the days ahead for the Alberta ski resort.
