An injured climber was rescued from the West Ridge Trail in Colorado’s Eldorado Canyon State Park on Saturday, December 27th, with crews from the Mountain View Fire Rescue assisting.
According to Mountain View Fire Rescue, crews from Station 9, Station 2, and Station 5 responded with personnel to hike in and treat the patient after a call was received by the Boulder County Communication Center at around 11:45am. The fire rescue crews were assisted by Rocky Mountain Rescue volunteer staff and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon reaching the climber, crews assisted the individual down to Medic 202 and transported them to a local hospital with minor injuries. Currently no update is available on the patient’s condition.

Eldorado Canyon State Park is just a short distance from Boulder, Colorado, offering hiking, fishing, biking, and, possibly most famously, climbing. The West Ridge features several climbing routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.12d, according to Mountain Project.
