It’s the time of year to start getting your body ready for ski season if you haven’t already. While exact opening dates for many resorts are still unannounced, we could easily be within weeks of ski season starting, and you don’t want to be out of shape heading into your first day on the mountain.

Pre-season workouts are vital to both enjoying skiing at the start of the season and preventing injuries throughout the entire winter. If you’re looking for a little inspiration or guidance on how to get going, professional skier Hannah Melinn shared her pre-season routine.

If you really want to get in shape before the season begins, you should focus on mobility, strength, and endurance. But most importantly, you should find a way to have fun while doing it. For most people, skiing is about having fun, so find a way to keep that going in the preseason.
