Skiing in California.
Skiing in California.

California – California is home to quite a wide variety of ski resorts, from smaller, more beginner friendly areas to some of North America’s most extreme in-bound terrain.

If you’re planning a ski or snowboard trip to the west coast state and only want to stop at one resort, you might find it difficult to pick exactly which one. Fortunately SRG Skiing has provided a list of their top 5 ski resorts in California (and Nevada) for expert and extreme skiing and snowboarding based on their own experience, giving a pretty good look at the more intense resorts found throughout the states.

Their list, made in no particular order, includes several very well known and high trafficked resorts, including Mammoth Mountain (California), Mount Rose (Nevada), Kirkwood (California), Sugar Bowl (California), and, of course, Palisades Tahoe (California). They also took an in depth look at the skiing on both the Alpine Meadows and Olympic Valley sides of Palisades Tahoe, so you’ll know where you should start your day if you wind up there.
