Stunning skiing in the Dolomites.

The Gardenissima in Val Gardena is home to a pretty cool event every year. The Südtirol Gardenissima claims to be one of the longest Giant Slalom races in the world. It’s certainly the longest in the Dolomites, taking skiers down an altitude difference of 3389 feet over around 3.7 miles. In total, it includes 88 gates, certainly making it one of the more exhausting downhill ski races out there.

But it’s also one of the more beautiful runs in the area, offering incredible views of the Sassolungo and the Sella Group the whole time you’re skiing it. To access the run, you take either the Seceda cable car from Ortisei or the Col Raiser cable car from Santa Cristina.

YouTuber and European ski instructor Marius Quast gave the run a go, filming it in entirety from the top to bottom. I have to say, I think he might be right on the beauty aspect.

Ready for the next ski slope UNCUT? It goes to the beautiful Gardenissima from St. Christina in Gröden in the Dolomites. This descent is simply sensational with the view of the Sassolungo and the Sella massif from the Seceda.
