Cheers to snowboarder Jake Aaronson who roughed it for 4 months living the Safeway parking lot in Tahoe sleeping on a makeshift bed underneath his drop-in ramp in his truck bed while making this film.
The level of snowboarding is great but what makes this film stand out from the pack is that Jake did much of the filming himself. That means setting up cameras, framing up the shot, hiking up and getting a few hits in hopes that something was usable. Filming yourself snowboarding is not only high effort but it can be quite dangerous as well. Jake actually got stuck in a hole filming by himself and almost died (5:45). While we don’t recommend riding in the backcountry by yourself, we do salute Jake for his incredible solo effort.
