BROOMFIELD, Colorado – It might be August 14, but all of our minds are lingering on ski season. Fortunately we have some exciting news for fans of the many Vail owned resorts across the country. The ski resort & real estate company announced opening dates for 11 ski resorts across North America, from Colorado to Utah, California to British Columbia.
Like most seasons, the first Vail ski resort to open its lifts and trails will be Keystone in Colorado. The opening date hasn’t been officially set, but depending on conditions, a mid-October start is likely. The next earliest will be Colorado’s Breckenridge, set to open on November 8. The full list of opening dates for Vail owned mountains is as follows:
November 8:Â Breckenridge, CO
November 15: Vail Mountain, CO
November 22: Whistler Blackcomb, BC, Heavenly, CA, Northstar, CA, Park City Mountain, UT
November 27: Beaver Creek, CO, Crested Butte, CO
December 6: Kirkwood, CA, Stevens Pass, WA
Both Whistler Blackcomb and Hunter Mountain (in New York) are opening new lifts this season, while Park City has seen an expansion of snowmaking heading into the 2024/25 season, in addition to other upgrades across Vail owned resorts.
