Kayaking the Paris 2024 Whitewater course.

PARIS, France – The Olympics have officially begun (sort of), with rugby and soccer (football) starting yesterday and handball and archery getting going today. The opening ceremony ins’t until tomorrow at 2pm ET, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t already excited and into it! One of the cooler venues featured in the Olympics will be the whitewater course, home to multiple kayaking and canoeing events (including the new and amazing Kayak Cross). Australian Olympian Tristan Carter shared this sweet POV view of the course back in late June, as preparation was ongoing for the games.

Join me as I take a lap down the Paris2024 Canoe Slalom Whitewater course. With the venue getting ready for the Olympic Games, the scenery on your way down is quite spectacular. It is going to be absolutely insane seeing the finished product and it all filled with fans!

Paris 2024’s whitewater stadium is at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium just a bit east of Paris. There are two whitewater courses in the stadium, one 300 meters and one 150 meters. Additionally, the Vaires-sur-Marne features a 2,200 meter rowing and sprint canaoe/kayak course, a finishing tower, a sports medicine center, a weight center, a media center, and so much more.
