SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The people of Utah are prepping for what could be a very exciting day, as they eagerly await the International Olympic Committee’s announcement on who will host the 2034 Winter Olympics. According to Ski Utah, the Utah delegation will present their bid to host the 2034 Winter Olympics at 3am MST (11am in Paris) on July 24. After which, the IOC will tally votes and officially designate the host.
To celebrate the anticipated announcement and hopefully good news, the Utah Olympic Park is hosting a Celebrate 2034 event at the Olympic Plaza on July 24. The event will run from 4 to 9pm, offering live music, foods, vendors, activities, face painting, giveaway, and a meet an greet with Olympians.
A Celebrate 2034 presentation watch party will also be hosted on July 24, starting at 3am in downtown Salt Lake City’s Washington Square. The presentation team set to appear in France includes Utah’s Governor Spencer Cox, Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall, President of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee Gene Sykes, and many more officials and athletes.
