Not sure if this bull elk in Estes Park, Colorado was sedated or just exhausted after getting tangled up in one of spiderweb style backyard basket swings but it didn’t put up zero resistance when approached by a wildlife officer. Poor fella’s legs were rubbed raw from the rope but hopefully that was just superficial. If you live in an area where elk roam you backyard perhaps this type of swing isn’t the best choice.
For #WildlifeWednesday, watch one of our wildlife officers rescue an elk stuck in a swing near Estes Park. He takes care to soothe the elk and carefully extract the antlers from the ropes. #wildliferescue pic.twitter.com/cvc5KFwo9Y
