Sometimes, the dangers of riding park and hitting jumps are caused by objects on the landings. Whether that’s a loose ski or pole, a fallen individual who’s working on getting up, or some dumba** parent letting their kids play on the “fun downslope”, there’s plenty of reasons why you should keep your eyes open when you’re about to hit a kicker. In my experience, however, I’ve never seen a snowcat be the cause of that danger.
This video, posted to YouTube around 10 years ago, features exactly that. Not only does the snowboarder in this video manage to clear the groomer, but he comes very close to landing a 360 AND riders away without looking concerned whatsoever. Impressive, and yet very scary, stuff right here.
