Sad news for the world of snowboarding. Olympic gold medalist and 2 time X-Games women’s superpipe medalist, Kaitlyn Farrington, has been forced to retire due to the congenital spinal condition cervical stenosis. Â She does not have to give up riding altogether but doctors have warned her not to leave the ground because it would put her at risk for severe injury. Â Not what you want to hear when you are one of the best high flyers in the world and you are in the prime of your career. Â Really sad story but you can tell this a really tough chick with great friends and family around her. Â Best wishes for Kaitlyn.
