Sad news for the world of snowboarding. Olympic gold medalist and 2 time X-Games women’s superpipe medalist, Kaitlyn Farrington, has been forced to retire due to the congenital spinal condition cervical stenosis.  She does not have to give up riding altogether but doctors have warned her not to leave the ground because it would put her at risk for severe injury.  Not what you want to hear when you are one of the best high flyers in the world and you are in the prime of your career.  Really sad story but you can tell this a really tough chick with great friends and family around her.  Best wishes for Kaitlyn.
