Utah — Lucas Catania has spent his life shredding Utah’s ski resorts. He’s one of the most popular skiing YouTubers because he shares his adventures in the Wasatch and beyond. So which ski resort is his favorite?

Last week, Lucas Catania ranked the 12 ski resorts that he’s visited in Utah. His picks come down to what he likes skiing the most. He’s an aggressive expert skier, so he prefers resorts with consistent fall-line terrain. He also factors in snow quality, parking, and traffic.

His Top Picks

His number three pick is Snowbasin because of its extensive challenging terrain and huge vertical drop.

The number two and one picks go to Alta and Snowbird. Catania picks Snowbird over Alta because he loves the Tram, which lets you ski most of the Utah ski resort. His critique of both is the traffic issues that have plagued both for years, especially recently.

The ski areas that didn’t make the list include Beaver Mountain, Cherry Peak, Nordic Valley, and Snowland. This is because Catania hasn’t made the trip to them yet.
