BOA Technology is expanding its snowboard boot technology for the 2026-27 winter season with an updated PerformFit Wrap system and a new multi-directional H5 dial platform.
The Denver-based company is marking its 25th anniversary while introducing the latest developments in its BOA Fit System. The technology is designed to provide more precise fit adjustments while improving stability, control and power transfer for snowboarders. The new products will be available on select snowboard boots from Burton, K2 and Ride Snowboards.
New BOA PerformFit Wrap Targets Big Mountain Performance
BOA PerformFit Wrap uses strategically positioned panels connected to the BOA Fit System to create a more connected fit around the foot, ankle and lower leg. According to testing conducted by BOA’s Human Performance Fit Lab, PerformFit Wrap configurations can provide up to 9 percent improved stability and control compared with traditional snowboard boot laces. The company also reports up to 4.5 percent improved power transfer.
The system is designed to secure the heel while improving the connection between the rider’s foot and the boot. BOA says the more even distribution of pressure can also improve responsiveness and edge control. Dan Feeney, Ph.D., vice president of partner product innovation and development at BOA Technology, said testing with elite riders demonstrated measurable performance benefits from the design.
H5 Brings Multi-Directional Adjustment to Snowboard Boots
The new H5 dial platform introduces multi-directional adjustment to snowboard boots. Riders can tighten or loosen the system without completely releasing tension, allowing for more precise adjustments while riding.
The dial can be mounted on the tongue or side of the boot, with a mirrored interface intended to provide a consistent adjustment experience. Snowboard boots equipped with dual H5 dials can offer additional zonal control and more precise fit adjustments.

Available for the 2026-27 Season
The PerformFit Wrap expansion and H5 platform join BOA’s existing snowboard technologies, including independent zonal adjustment and its Coiler system. The new technologies will debut on select Burton, K2 and Ride Snowboards boots for the 2026-27 winter season.
