Snowbird is changing how season passholders can reserve parking for the 2026-27 ski season, giving eligible passholders a free rolling reservation in the Upper Gad Valley Lot.
The new benefit provides passholders with one active parking reservation at a time. After using that reservation, the passholder can make another reservation for a future day, with additional reservations available on a rolling basis as space allows.
Free Snowbird Parking Reservation for Passholders
The Upper Gad Valley Lot will operate as a reservation-only parking area during the 2026-27 season. The new system is designed to give season passholders more flexibility when planning mountain days.
Unlike a single reservation that would only be available once during the season, the rolling system allows passholders to continue making reservations throughout the winter. Once a reservation is used, another can be secured. The Upper Gad Valley Lot will therefore become one of the key parking options for Snowbird passholders who want to guarantee a spot ahead of their arrival.
Other Snowbird Parking Options
Most parking at Snowbird will remain free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Free parking areas include Entry 1, Wilbere Hill, the Main Lot, Chickadee Hill and Superior Lot when conditions permit, as well as portions of the Bypass Road.
Parking along the south side of SR-210 between Entry 1 and Entry 4 may also be available when conditions allow. The Utah Department of Transportation will determine availability daily based on road conditions, with updates typically provided through Snowbird’s Mountain Report around 7am.
Snowbird will also continue offering paid parking reservations in areas including Lower Gad Valley, the Pond Lot and Chickadee Lot. Valet parking will be available at Snowbird Center and The Cliff Lodge.
Snowbird Encourages Carpooling
The ski resort is also continuing its focus on carpooling during the 2026-27 season. Carpool-only spaces for vehicles carrying three or more people will be available in several lots, including the Main Lot, Upper Gad Valley Lot, Entry 1 and Superior Lot.
