Doppelmayr Reports $1.5 Billion Year as Lift Revenue Grows

Doppelmayr Group reported approximately $1.5 billion in annual revenue, with major projects at Big Sky and Deer Valley among the installations helping drive growth. The Austrian lift manufacturer announced its results Sept. 14, reporting a 9.1% revenue increase over the previous fiscal year.

The company’s 2025-26 financial report covers April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. Its annual project overview lists 109 ropeway installations, with lift and warehouse logistics projects spanning 25 countries.

That revenue figure extends beyond ski lifts. Doppelmayr also builds urban gondolas, material transport systems and automated warehouse equipment. The total represents sales across the group, not profit or spending exclusively by ski resorts.

Big Sky and Deer Valley Helped Drive North American Business

One of the year’s major projects was Big Sky’s Explorer Gondola, which opened Dec. 20, 2025. Built on Doppelmayr’s D-Line platform, the gondola replaced the Montana resort’s last original chairlift with 83 cabins featuring heated seats and floor-to-ceiling windows. Its upper terminal connects directly to the base of the Lone Peak Tram, creating a continuous lift connection from the resort’s base to the summit. The completed gondola can carry 2,850 skiers per hour, more than doubling the previous lift’s uphill capacity, according to Big Sky.

Doppelmayr also identified Deer Valley’s East Village Gondola as a significant project during the fiscal year. Unofficial Networks covered its December opening alongside the new Pinyon Express chairlift, both Doppelmayr installations serving the Utah resort’s expanded terrain.

Growth Beyond the Ski Slopes

The company’s project lineup also included the Paris area’s first urban gondola and the first installation of its TRI-Line system at Switzerland’s Hoch-Ybrig Ski Resort. Doppelmayr said demand remained strong across winter sports, year-round tourism and urban transportation.

Its global workforce increased 5.4% to 3,987 full-time-equivalent positions. The company says it will continue investing in research and development, digital technology, facilities and employee development, while acknowledging challenging international market conditions.
