Might not be enough to drop in after riding the Golden Eagle Express but the folks up at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, BC were pleasantly surprise this morning when they woke up to first snowfall of the season.
“First snow has entered the chat. A little snow? No problem. A few more bike laps? Absolutely. Winter mode? Loading…One foot in summer, one foot in winter. We’ll take it.”
It may only be a dusting but a but any signs of snow late summer summer snow are enough get the juices flowing for all us hotblooded skiers and snowboarders who are approaching their quota for summer fun and ready to pull their gear out of storage and get back to shredding.
While this overnight storm may only be a preview of whats to come for the 2026/2027 winter season and Kicking Horse is still very much in summer mode with mountain biking operations being the mainstay of gravity assisted fun, we hope these live webcams posted around Kicking Horse (see below) bring a twinkle to your eye and start firing you up for opening day!
