California/Nevada — Mountain bikers have a new spot in Tahoe to explore.
Earlier this month, Heavenly debuted its first mountain biking trail off the gondola. The Panorama trail is accessed by heading off the mid-station of Heavenly’s Gondola. Guests then take the Mid-Station Connector Trail to reach the new run. The 3.5-mile trail is intermediate: it’s not steep, but it has various rocks to navigate. Class 1 E-Bikes are also allowed on the trail.
“This epic [pun likely intended] trail offers amazing lake views,” said Drew Bray, executive director of the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA), to Tahoe Daily Tribune. “It goes from the Mid-Station of the Heavenly Gondola, loops around the mountains, then opens up into epic views of the Carson Valley before passing the East Peak Lodge and continuing on to connect to the Tahoe Rim Trail.”
Construction on the project began in 2020 with a machine build by the U.S. Forest Service. Various parties were involved in the build, including TAMBA, the ski resort, and the U.S. Forest Service. More trails are planned to be added to the network in the years ahead.

Lift tickets vary in price. Northstar Bike Park passholders can access the trail for free. Epic Pass holders can ride the park for $39. If you don’t have a pass, you can access the new trail for $39.
Heavenly is open daily for summer operations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
