If you’ve ever dreamed of trading content for free turns, your ultimate winter gig has officially arrived.

Ski Utah is looking for its next crew of local athletes and social media ambassadors for the 2026–27 season. Selected ambassadors and athletes will receive sponsored gear including Rossignol, Stio, Smith, Hestra and Gregory and a Ski Utah Silver Pass valued at nearly $6,000, granting access to all 15 participating Utah resorts.

Whether you’re a master at crafting viral reels or an expert rider comfortable charging through any terrain, here is everything you need to know about these two dream opportunities and how to land one.

Ski Utah Social Media Ambassador Position:

We’re looking for up to four local community members to be social media ambassadors on Ski Utah’s channels. The ideal candidate is proficient in creating beautiful imagery, reels and stories for Instagram and/or TikTok, passionate about skiing or snowboarding and has a positive presence in the community. You’ll share your experiences throughout the season as you ski or ride The Greatest Snow on Earth®.

DUTIES

  • Three stories per month on Ski Utah’s channel with one story requiring a website link to skiutah.com. We do encourage you to post on your own channels as well and tag @skiutah.
  • Three main feed posts per month, at least two must be reels. We will consider still imagery on a case-by-case basis, but we’re focusing on video content. Reels can be collabs between your channel and @skiutah.
  • Represent Ski Utah’s brand and all 15 Utah ski resorts in a positive manner and adhere to Ski Utah’s brand guidelines and values.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old
  • Have over 1,500 followers on Instagram
  • Local to Utah and must be in Utah for the majority of the winter
  • Proof of health insurance
  • Ability to wear gear from Rossignol, Stio, Smith, Hestra and Gregory with no other brand conflicts

AMBASSADOR PERKS

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two examples of storytelling of an event or trip coverage
  • Three of your best photos
  • Three of your best reels or videos (links or screen recordings will work)
  • One pitch outline for the winter season that you would love to execute. Example: How would you cover opening day at your favorite resort?

Ski Utah Athlete Position:

Join Ski Utah’s exclusive athlete team for the 2026–27 season! We are looking for a team of expert skiers and snowboarders who can ski and ride a variety of terrain, from powder to groomers, and most importantly, look good while doing it. Athletes will represent Ski Utah and will be considered ambassadors for the Utah skiing community.

ATHLETE REQUIREMENTS

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Expert skier or snowboarder who is comfortable in ALL terrain from steep and deep to groomers
  • A flexible schedule is required! Ability to ski/ride at least 4x per month with Ski Utah filmers and photographers during the entire 2026–27 season (November-April)
  • Must plan to stay in the state for most of the season. Some overnight travel and early mornings will be required.
  • Ability to wear Ski Utah sponsor gear during shoots: Rossignol, Stio, Smith, Gregory, and Hestra with no competing sponsor conflicts
  • AVY 1 or greater (ski-specific). Some of our shoots happen in the backcountry.
  • Proof of health insurance
  • You must positively represent the Ski Utah brand across all platforms. 

ATHLETE PERKS & COMPENSATION

  • Complete head-to-toe ski or snowboard kit from our sponsors Rossignol, Stio, Smith and Hestra
  • This is not a paid position; however, there are opportunities for paid shoots beyond the contracted days.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A resumé of ski-related experience and achievements, including any avalanche education certifications
  • Photography and video assets documenting your ski and/or snowboard ability. Without these assets, your application will not reviewed.
  • A few sentences about why this position would be beneficial to your future goals in the ski and snowboard industry and why you would be a good fit for our team
  • Three references (including contact information) who can attest to your skiing or snowboarding ability and character
