Loveland Ski Area has opened a lottery to purchase retired Lift 5 Chairlift Chairs ($650) but there’s a catch, only 2026/27 season pass holders who are paid up fully are eligible to participate (payment plans do not qualify). Installed at Colorado ski area way back in 1975, Lift 5 is the iconic .5 mile long Heron Poma double chairlift that crossed over Highway 6 and linked the Basin and Valley together. Critical Rules and Pickup Guidelines
Loading Warning: Loveland employees cannot provide assistance, tie-downs, or straps in any shape or form. The chairs are heavy. You must bring a vehicle capable of transporting it (truck or trailer) and at least one other person to help you load it.
- Entry Limits: Only one entry per season pass holder. Multiple passes per household are allowed, but there can only be one winner per household.
- Non-Transferable: Lottery wins cannot be transferred to other season pass holders.
- Strict Purchase Deadline: Winners will receive a redemption code to pay online. If the chair is not purchased within the one-week window (by July 30), the spot is forfeited and the next name will be drawn.
- Pickup Requirements: You must bring a valid ID or your Season Pass.
- Final Sale: All sales are final.
