It took the cooperation of over 100 volunteers to ski the world’s largest free flying American flag down Utah’s Sundance Mountain Resort and the footage is amazing. The event was held on Memorial Day a few years back and the flag is known as Big Betsy which measures 150 feet by 78 feet for a total of 11,800 square feet of American glory!

On this the eve of the America’s 250 birthday, we think its a fine to remember this incredible moment when a group of skiers managed to hold up a flag the size of 1/4 acre and weighing 400lbs flag and fly it down a mountain. Happy 4th!
