Denver, Colorado — If you’re looking to make a British Columbia ski trip next winter, Ikon has added another destination to its growing network.

Yesterday, the Ikon Pass announced it has added two more ski resorts for the 2026-27 season. British Columbia’s SilverStar Mountain Resort will expand its access as a full partner, while Giants Ridge in Minnesota will join as a bonus mountain. The announcement has interesting implications for the Indy Pass, as one of them was a former partner.

Here’s a rundown for future Ikon visitors of what those mountains feature.

SilverStar

During the 2025-26 season, SilverStar joined Ikon as a bonus partners, meaning passholders got two days there. Full Ikon passholders will now get 7 days of access without blackout days. Silver Star was recently sold from POWDR to Pacific Group Resorts, which has nearly all of its mountains on the Indy Pass. Based on how this first season went with Ikon, Silver Star decided to stick with them.

The ski resort has 133 trails across 3,304 acres of skiable terrain, a 2,493-foot (760-meter) vertical drop, over 276 inches (700 cm) of annual snowfall, and a beautiful base village with various slopeside lodging options. During the offseason, SilverStar transforms into one of the best downhill mountain biking parks on the continent.

“British Columbia is home to some of Canada’s best mountain experiences in the world, and Ikon Pass holders now get access to SilverStar Mountain, alongside Revelstoke, SkiBig3, Cypress Mountain, RED Mountain, Panorama and Sun Peaks Resort, said Matt Bowers, the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Alterra. We are thrilled to expand our access in Canada for Ikon Pass holders and welcome SilverStar to the Ikon Pass community for the 26/27 winter season.”

Giants Ridge

Hidden in the press release was the addition of another bonus mountain. Giants Ridge will join Ikon, giving two days of access to full Ikon passholders.

Giants Ridge is among the largest ski resorts in Minnesota and the region. The Minnesota ski resort features 35 trails across 202 acres, 5 lifts, and a vertical drop of 500 feet. Nordic skiers have many trails to explore, which wrap around the mountain. There are overnight options for guests, including the Lodge at Giants Ridge.

Giants Ridge was an Indy Pass partner at its inception, but hasn’t been on the pass for years. This is because in the early 2020s, Lutsen Mountains joined Indy. Due to the density of Indy partners (particularly Lutsen Mountains), Giants Ridge was removed from the Indy Pass. Now, while Indy will be with some new Midwest mountains like Whitecap, it will likely be without both Lutsen Mountains and Giant’s Ridge.

With these recent additions, Midwest Ikon skiers and riders will now have access to Boyne Mountain, Buck Hill, Devil’s Head, Giants Ridge, Granite Peak, The Highlands, Lutsen Mountains, Snowriver, and Wild Mountain.
