BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Vail Resorts is introducing discounted season passes aimed at younger skiers and snowboarders, offering 20% off select products for guests ages 13 to 30.
“The future of the sport depends on the next generation of skiers and riders, and it is our responsibility to create a more accessible pathway for them well into young adulthood. We know that young travelers, especially Gen Z, are prioritizing experiences when deciding how to spend their time and money, and we hope to make skiing and snowboarding an easy decision for them.” -Vail Resorts CEO Rob Katz
In press release from today Vail Resorts announced teens and young adults can purchase the 2026/27 Epic Pass for $869 and the Epic Local Pass for $649, representing savings of up to $220 compared with standard pricing. All passes for next season are now on sale at what Vail Resorts described as “the lowest price of the year.”

Vail Resorts also announced the return of its Epic Friend Tickets program for a second season. Eligible 2026/27 season-long Epic Pass holders who purchase early will receive 10 discounted friend tickets, which provide 50% off lift ticket prices. The tickets can also be used for 25% off child lift tickets.
The company said it is offering additional savings for guests who purchased lift tickets during the 2025/26 season at any of its 37 North American resorts. Eligible visitors can receive up to $175 off select Epic Pass products. With the youth discount applied, that could lower the cost of an Epic Pass to $694 and an Epic Local Pass to $474 for those ages 13 to 30.
The Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass provide access to multiple resorts across North America, including Vail Mountain, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City Mountain, Breckenridge, Heavenly, Northstar, Stowe, Mount Snow and Hunter Mountain, among others.
Vail Resorts said pass holders will continue to receive 20% off on-mountain dining during the 2026/27 season. Passes are nonrefundable except through the company’s Epic Coverage program. Find more information about 2026/27 pass options here.
