Rockingham, Vermont — The past two years in New England have seen proper winters, meaning it’s been cold and somewhat snowy. This has allowed ski hills that rely on natural snow to open up.
One such example is the Bellows Falls Ski Tow. Opened in the 1950s, Bellows Falls is a rope-tow-served ski hill with a vertical drop of around 200 feet. This small skiing operation is run by the Town of Rockingham.
With it relying on snow, it didn’t operate for several years. However, it did operate the 2024-25 season for the first time in around five years. Recent snow allowed Rockingham to open it for the season on January 30th.
