Denver, Colorado โ How bleak is the winter out West? They’re literally giving you free money if you visit over the next couple of weeks.
Last week, the Ikon Pass sent an email to guests offering $20 coupons for each day visited from now until February 25th. Here’s how it works: you sign up for the program here. For every visit from now until February 25th, you earn $20 on on-mountain credits for future use by going to any Ikon destination. The maximum amount of dollars you can earn from this one is $60. You can use the $20 vouchers from March 1st to May 31st. This offer isn’t applicable at all Ikon destinations, as it’s only available at mountains owned/operate by Alterra.
This offer comes as the West is struggling mightily. Many of Alterra’s destinations are on the West Coast, including Arapahoe Basin, Palisades Tahoe, and Winter Park. Among their western destinations, the one doing the best is probably Mammoth, although they haven’t received much snow recently.

Luckily, there are some bright spots for the Alterra Mountain Company. Its eastern destinations, which include Blue Mountain (Ontario), Snowshoe, Stratton, Sugarbush, and Tremblant, are all having solid seasons, with cold weather allowing for optimal snowmaking temperatures.
