Government Camp, Oregon โ The latest sign of Oregon’s bleak winter is coming from one of the ski resorts at Mount Hood.
Yesterday, Mt. Hood Skibowl announced that tonight will be its final downhill skiing operations for the foreseeable future. However, the wet weather altered that schedule, as they announced today that they wouldn’t operate tonight. The next ski operating date is uncertain due to recent snowmelt. Prior to this announcement, Skibowl had been operating its lifts only in the evening due to a warmer-than-average winter.
While skiing is done for now, the Skibowl won’t be a ghost town, as snow tubing remains open at the Skibowl. Cosmic tubing will be happening Thursday-Sunday nights, with day tubing on Saturday and Sunday.
