Dodge Ridge Chairlift evacuation @ Summit-at-Snoqualmie

Snoqualmie Pass, Washington – Skiers and snowboarders were forced to evacuate the Dodge Ridge Chairlift at the Summit-at-Snoqualmie after it stopped spinning due to mechanical issues Sunday morning. Jeremy Rule captured a video of the rope rescue operation which happened Summit West.

The evacuation of the two person chairlift was complicated by foggy rainy conditions but the ski patrol managed to lower all guests safely to the ground below. The evacuation took over an hour. The exact cause of the malfunction has not been released. Cheers the Summit-at-Snoqualmie ski patrollers who by all accounts handled the situation expertly.
