Urban skiers are something else, sending pretty jaw-dropping tricks, rails, and jumps with nothing but a thin layer of snow and cement to catch them. We’ve seen quite a few brutal urban wipeouts over the years, but this one stands out.
The video shows an urban skier attempting to jump a section of the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, Ontario. Based on a look at some maps, this section of the canal appears to be around 35-40 feet, so nowhere near an easy jump. Unfortunately he just barely undershot the jump and he wound up with what we can only assume are some pretty sore ankles, if not completely broken ankles.
This clip is the opening scene of of THE JETSKIS MOVIE, a collection of some seriously impressive urban skiing, If you’re looking for a good 22 minute movie to watch while eating some lunch, give this a watch.
