Telluride Ski Patrol strike.

The Telluride Ski Patrol strike is well into its second week, with Telluride Ski Resort reopening limited terrain for the first time since December 27th. In an effort to support local businesses and residents of the area, the Telluride Professional Ski Patrol Association will be buying and giving out 100 meals from Oak.

The free meals will be handed out beginning at 2pm on Tuesday, January 6th. Everyone is welcome to attend to grab a meal, though it will operate on a first come, first serve basis, so once 100 meals are delivered, that will be it.

Telluride Ski Resort reopened on Monday, January 5th, with one chairlift and two carpets serving a single beginner trail. The resort originally closed on December 27th as the ski patrol strike began. A new offer was apparently presented on January 3rd, though it was rejected by the union.
