Bold marketing strategy by the folks at Suisse Tourisme who hired experimental French music producer Thylacine to create a track from around 200 different sounds captured during a 16 day roadtrip across Switzerland involving 23 trains, 3 gondolas, 2 boats and 1 bus.
Thylacine, his percussion mallets and his boom mic ended up in some pretty incredible locales including the top of the Glacier 3000 gondola, an ancient ice cave in Valais and the slopes of Alp Grรผmย to name a few.
The resulting piece of music is pretty incredible. Put on some headphones for the highest possible fidelity and press play to take an auditory adventure through the soundscapes of Switzerland.
