Bolton, Vermont — It’s been a sensational start to the ski season in Northern Vermont, leading to early openings and lots of people earning their turns. On Saturday, Bolton Valley Resort will join the lift-served party.

Yesterday, Bolton Valley Resort announced that it will be opening for the season on November 22nd. This is six days ahead of schedule, as they originally planned to open on November 28th. The humorous announcement video shares Lindsay pressing the dangerous “open early” button, leading to this surprise opening.

Bolton Valley plans to spin the Mid-Mountain and Mighty Might lifts. Ultimately, this means that there won’t be a lot of lift-served terrain available, but it will allow people to get their fix in.

This first weekend will feature operations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the next few weekends, they’ll operate Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Daily operations will start on December 12th, with night skiing beginning on December 16th.

Uphill travel remains open, with skiers being able to go up the Wilderness terrain pod. However, the Wilderness route is the only way up right now due to active snowmaking equipment and machinery being situated around the resort.

With this opening, the following ski resorts will be open in Vermont this weekend: Killington, Stowe, Jay Peak, Okemo, Mount Snow, Sugarbush, and Bolton Valley.
