A heavily intoxicated man was arrested after hitting multiple cars with a snowboard and threatening to assault people in unincorporated Silverthorne, Colorado.
According to Colorado’s Summit County Sheriff’s Office, a woman left her apartment and entered her vehicle while simply tying to head to work when a man leaped over a guardrail near her car and struck the passenger side of her vehicle with a snowboard.
The woman, fearing for her safety, fled the vehicle back toward her apartment. The man noticed her and attempted to attack her, but she was able to return to safety and seek help from her roommates. The roommates then witnessed the man vandalizing other vehicles and worked to restrain him.
The bystanders were able to pin the man to the ground while waiting for deputies to arrive. The man was found to be extremely intoxicated and had more alcohol and marijuana in his backpack. He was arrested for assault, menacing, and felony criminal mischief.
