Malone, New York — While opening days can be fun, it’s typically not skiing on a powder-filled slope. While these can be fun days, it’s typically on a mix of man-made snow and natural snowpack. However, that’s not going to be the case tomorrow at Titus Mountain.

Thanks to an active storm cycle last week and more snow that has come through this week, Titus Mountain will open for one day of glorious powder skiing. Only the Upper Mountain (served by Lift 8) will be open, which is accessible by driving up to the Upper Lodge. The Upper Mountain features beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert terrain. However, this experience is recommended for at least advanced skiers and riders due to the natural snowpack. Lift tickets will only be $20, and $10 for Ski3 passholders.

About Titus Mountain

The northernmost ski resort in New York is in a snow belt. The ski center features 53 trails, 10 lifts, and a vertical drop of 1,200 feet. Titus also hosts night skiing and snow tubing. During the week, the upper mountain is available for private parties or corporate rentals. The ski resort currently features 10 slopeside chalets and has begun selling lots for real estate development. While the slopes are quiet during the offseason, the owners of Titus run a sand and gravel business to support local community projects.
