When you arrive at new ski resort and are looking for best terrain it has to offer, its always a wise move to get intel from locals because they obviously have the inside track on whats popping off and where.

Responses will vary and it can get a bit tricky when it comes to matching up advice with your riding level, especially in the case of advanced riders like these two Canadians who arrived at Mt. Hutt in New Zealand hoping to link up “the best snowboarder at a small resort.” For reference one of the two Canadians on scene Natural Selection winner Mikey Ciccarelli‬ who can hold his own with the best in the world.

After a bunch of asking around the Canucks hit pay dirt when they located 15-year-old Kobe Coleman, a young ripper that came highly recommended. Once they had on hill impromptu ambassador, the boys set off for a day of high flying sidehits and park laps capped off by twilight session on a private booter.

Just goes to show that linking up with a local who is game to show you their home turf can be a homerun at fresh resort. Love to see the instant camaraderie shared by they riders. Cheers.
